About Us

Water Resources Engineering Ltd (WRE) is an independent water resources engineering consultancy focused on undertaking robust and cost effective Flood Risk Assessments.

WRE is led by Scott Baigent BE (Natural Resources) Hons CENG MIEI.  Scott is a chartered engineer with over ten years experience in water resources engineering in Ireland, UK, the Middle East, Nepal and New Zealand.  He is the project manager for the OPW funded Ennis flood alleviation scheme (River Fergus Lower (Ennis) Certified Drainage Scheme) and was responsible for leading the hydrological analysis in two of the largest catchment flood risk assessment studies in Ireland:  Lee CFRAMS and Final East Meath FRAMS.
