Wow – it’s been awhile since we’ve updated our news!
Since the last update we have undertaken flood risk assessments in on the River Bride (Crookstown, Co Cork), Whitechurch Stream, Owendoher Stream, River Dodder (Dublin), River Tolka (Clonee) and Athy, Co Kildare. We’re currently undertaking technical supervision of a significant Mike Flood Flood Risk Assessment on the River Rye (Leixlip).

We are seeing increasing demand for flood risk assessments from developers and private individuals. We’ve recently undertaken flood risk assessments for sites in Mountmellick, Charleville, Bansha, Athy, Ballinasloe (River Suck) and Kinnity (County Offally).

News
We have completed a flood risk assessment for a site near Banteer. The assessment included a hydraulic model of the River Blackwater extending from Banteer to Mallow.
We are currently preparing a flood risk assessment for a hydro electric generation development near Ballingarry (North Tipperary) and a flood risk assessment for a large development in Mountmellick, County Laois. The later assessment includes hydraulic models of the River Barrow, Owenass River and Triogue River

We have recently completed a geomorphological assessment for proposed fisheries rehabilitation works on the River Blackwater (Munster). The proposed works extend from Mallow to Lismore.
We have also been appointed in conjunction with Blue Green Environmental Consultancy to analyse, design and apply for an OPW Section 47 consent for a proposed rock weir on the River Clody, near Bunclody, Co Wexford.

- Craughwell, Co Galway Flood Risk Assessment for a house near Rahasane Turlough
- Enniscorthy, Co Wexford Flood Risk Assessment for a housing development
Some of our recent projects have included:
- Drainage Assessment (Mallow, County Cork). A drainage attenuation assessment for a proposed housing development in Mallow
- Flood Risk Assessment (Dromiskin, County Louth). A Flood Risk Assessment for a proposed housing development in Dromiskin. The assessment included analysis of flooding from the Fane River, local drainage and from the coast
- Forestry Drainage Assessment and Design (Bruff, County Limerick). A survey of existing drainage features, assessment and design of new drains
